So, let it be no surprise that today I ran out of time and we didn't get to the 7th grade ELA flyer homework. We didn't even get to talk about annotating texts and the symbols to use! We did manage to get our chromebooks (yay!), and we reviewed some important school rules and policies (Be safe; be ready; be respectful!), and we got to play the Mrs. Yeagle Game Show! (Low score? -650. High score? +550!) The questions ranged from where was the farthest location Mrs. Yeagle has traveled (South Korea!) to is Mrs. Yeagle's dog a lap dog (yes, the giant 120 pound Irish Wolfhound IS a lap dog!). One class even got to discuss Cubs baseball and the wild trades that happened this summer. (Frank Schwindel is my new favorite player, just FYI.)
What all of that meant was that we didn't make it to the annotations mini-lesson. Your kids are pumped because they don't have homework tonight! (Don't tell them that it means they will have homework tomorrow....let it be a surprise for tomorrow!)
A heads-up that school dismisses at 2:20 again tomorrow, but starting on Monday (August 23) school will not dismiss until 3:10!!
The library is also hosting an online bookfair - check it out if you have time! Here's the link for the online store:
