We are working on our nonfiction children's book project in ELA class, so the kids have been busy every day this week writing (or rewriting, in some cases) books, poems, or songs. This week has also been the Erin's Law presentations, so half of our ELA time has been gifted to that program. The goal is for the kids to have something workable finished by Friday - this way we can start editing and revising next Friday when we have more hands on deck to work with everyone.
Yesterday we read about the Boston Massacre during social studies time - today we will look at a few graphic organizers to help us order our thoughts, and then we will move on to the Boston Tea Party!
As far as homework goes, students need to complete their weekly math worksheet - due Friday. They'll also need to study for their spelling tests (Tomorrow), and complete some social studies readings. ABC order spelling work is due tomorrow, too!
Look for information about the 5th grade field trip - it's coming to a backpack near you, soon!
