We're coming to the end of The Westing Game which may have been the best book we've read together so far this year. All of the novels we've read are some of my favorites, but this one has been even more fun - I'm thinking because of the pace (we're finishing this novel in a record 4 weeks!) and because of the new discussion based reading class. It's been a blast to discuss the writing, the plot, the characters, and the themes of this novel!
In case you need it, please refer to my youtube channel here so you and your student can listen to the chapters of the Westing Game.
In Social Studies, we've been working more on Ancient Rome (a crossword puzzle about famous Roman landmarks came home today) and we'll plan on a test next week sometime (think: Friday).
Look for reading guides tomorrow and Thursday night, a vocab worksheet, and a quiz on Friday in reading with a comprehension worksheet as weekend homework.
All this fun AND the weather is beautiful??! What more can we ask for?! (Chocolate. We could always ask for chocolate.)
And of course: GO CUBBIES!!! :)
